Founder and leader of the band Voo Voo, creator of the Męskie Granie project, guitarist, composer, author, and music producer. Studio musician and producer of many albums. He has collaborated with leading jazz artists. He played in bands such as "Bemibem," "Osjan," "Morawski Waglewski Nowicki Hołdys." Winner of the Paszport Polityki for his compositional and production work and for his ability to blend music from different cultures.
** MATEUSZ POSPIESZALSKI
Multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, producer, and vocalist. He has been professionally on stage since the age of sixteen. Author of solo projects where he finds space to explore his musical inspirations. Since 1986, he has been a member of the legendary band VOO VOO. He plays saxophones, flutes, keyboard instruments, percussion, bass clarinet, and accordion. One of the most respected Polish music producers and arrangers. Mateusz Pospieszalski has ten Gold Albums and Platinum records to his name.
He greatly contributed to the success of Zakopower – he is the composer of most of the band’s repertoire (including the hit "Boso") and has arranged and produced all their albums. He has also produced albums for Justyna Steczkowska, Janusz Radek, and the Piaseczny-Krajewski duo.
The latest album of Mateusz Pospieszalski's quintet ("Tralala", 2017) is an eclectic musical experience on the edge of alternative jazz, rock elements, and energetic folk motifs. Despite the fact that the songs retain a song-like form, the quintet's music is top-tier jazz, with virtuosic solos and a great deal of unpredictability. Constantly, Mateusz Pospieszalski remains a source of energy on stage – an incredible stage personality who can uniquely build a musical connection with his audience.
