Mount Śnieżka is the highest peak of the Karkonosze and Sudetes Mountains (1602 m above sea level). The rock cone is made of metamorphic rocks and granite, which is the main reason for the characteristic shape of Śnieżka. There is a specific climate here, similar to that of the Arctic Circle.
The average annual temperature on Śnieżka slightly exceeds 0 ° C, in the hottest month it is around 10 ° C. Hence, the snow cover sometimes lingers from October and ends in May. There is no hostel on Śnieżka, therefore it is also not possible to spend the night for tourists. Every year, on St. Lawrense's day (August 10) at the top of the chapel, a service is held in which Sudeten guides and GOPR rescuers participate.
Szklarki Waterfall is located in the central part of the Szklarki Gorge. It is formed by a mountain stream that falls from a height of 13.3 m in a wide cascade narrowing downwards. At the waterfall there is a small shelter called "Kochanówka".
The Kamieńczyk waterfall is the highest waterfall in the Polish Karkonosze Mountains. The water of the Kamieńczyk stream falls here from a height of 27 meters, creating a picturesque cascade consisting of three rapids of different heights. Behind the middle cascade there is a grotto artificially carved by the Walloons. To get to the waterfall, you need to go down a metal staircase to the Kamieńczyk Canyon. The length of the canyon is 100 meters, and its walls are up to 25 meters high, giving an amazing impression.
Both waterfalls are located in Szklarska Poręba, about 20 km from Świeradów
In the Jizera Mountains, viewpoints are very popular, allowing you to admire the panorama of the mountains.
Tourists showed the greatest interest in two points located in Szklarska Poręba:
Zbójeckie rocks - a viewing platform with a wooden terrace, which can be accessed directly from the tourist trail. From the terrace you can admire the areas stretching from Szrenica to Śnieżka.
Golden view - the terrace situated over a 20-meter-high rock cliff allows you to admire the views of the Karkonosze, the Kamienna Valley and the Jelenia Góra Valley. The terrace is equipped with deckchairs, which on sunny days are an ideal form of relaxation and rest in the bosom of nature.

The garden is located in Przesieka, less than 15 km from the city of Karpacz.
Four lakes: yellow, purple, blue and black, lying on the slope of Wielka Kopa, are located in the Rudawy Landscape Park (in the village of Wieściszowice).
The color of water in reservoirs is related to the chemical composition of the walls and bottom of workings. At the beginning of the 18th century, the then inhabitants of Rohnau (now Wieściszowice) began to extract pyritone shales, which are abundant in the local soil. A pyrite mine was established here, which was then processed into sulfuric acid. When the mine disappeared at the beginning of the twentieth century, nature came to the fore. The water filled the post-mine workings, creating phenomenal colorful lakes.
Another gem available from our Czech neighbors is the Rock Town -Adrspach.
Indeed, fairy-tale landscapes are simply a must see for every tourist staying in our areas.
